Chasing Time; I haven't seen the finish line.
As we are all entering December, every body seams to get into another gear. Trying to wrap up things at work, complete your objectives, so you can start the new year fresh, with a clean slate.
At the same time, we are juggling the expectations of the holidays. Family reunions, the gifts, gatherings, office parties, and more.
It's funny for the last few days, I got trapped in that cycle. Even at the grocery store, while I was trying to figure out what we needed to buy for our new apartment in Montreal. I caught myself thinking at the same time of what outfit I was going to wear at my office party, what gift I should by for a specific family member.
Same feeling at work, while we are all trying to "get things done", because the year end is coming and we need to catch up. In reality, is there ever a possibility that we will catch up, that one morning we might wake up and ask ourselves, "I don't know what do to today, I have nothing on my agenda."
Today was a reminder that, we sometime forget, that we shouldn't be chasing for time, we should be living in the moment and enjoy the experience truly, of whatever it is we are into. With work, family, even doing grocery shopping. If everything feel like a task, than perhaps we are losing our whole purpose of life, to BE and to live our lives like they are meant to be. To fully enjoy every moments, with all it's beauties and subtleties!
Enjoy the holiday season everyone! Take the time to BREATHE, ENJOY those moments, family and friend, really SEE life is supposed to be: AMAZING! Because to be honest, we can be chasing time all we want, but we never know where the finish line is going to be.
Ground yourself and breathe!
Cheers!
Véronique
